1 Introduction

3A activated powder is a kind of specially treated molecular sieve powder. It has excellent dispersion and fast absorbing speed, especially suitable for some special absorption applications, e.g., to be mixed, dispersed and adsorbed with some feedstock, forming into amorphous desiccant, etc. Specifically, it can be used as additives and aggregate of coatings, automobile paints, resins and some adhesives. In such applications, it plays a role of decreasing water content, eliminating air bubbles, increasing feed uniformity and strength, etc. 3A can also be used in the adhesive tapes of insulating glass to deeply eliminate trace water.

4 Applications

   In the polyurethane formulations, e.g., coatings, adhesives, sealants and polyurethane elastomer, etc., which are very sensitive to humidity, 3A indicates its incomparable deep humidity eliminating property and no by-effect. Excellent control of residual on sieve and dispersity assures its good application in polyurethane system.

   Typical applications are double component polyurethane system, wet curing polyurethane coating, Zn-rich coating, polysulfur and silicone system.

 

5 Packing and storage

3A is packed in sealed plastic bag, 900kg/bag, 18t/20ft FCL. It should be stored in ventilated dry places. The shelf life is 6 months.
