LF-91 Sulfur Tolerant Shift Catalyst

Catalyst LF-91 is a kind of Co-Mo system CO sulfur tolerant shift catalyst containing new components and special additives, suited to shift processes of heavy oil or residual oil partial oxidation, or coal gasification, to promote the shift reactions of sulfur-containing gases. It can be used at high temperature and low sulfur conditions, with a wide temperature range of 200-500, a wide sulfur range (sulfur content in process gas ≥0.01%(v/v)) and a high water/gas ratio till to 0.3-1.6.

LF-91 has good mechanical strength, high selectivity and activity. Specifically, its low temperature shift activity and low sulfur shift activity are in the world advanced level. Meanwhile, it has high suitability to high space velocity and high water/gas ratio, also has it good stability and large operating elasticity. LF-91 can be use in the Primary and Secondary shift converters of high sulfur residual oil process, in the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary shift converters, or in the converters of every process section with the coal as the feed. Its operating life is 3-8 years, which is related to the operating conditions. The active components Co and Mo are in the state of cobalt oxide and molybdenum oxide in fresh catalyst. When used, the catalyst should be sulfurized first, converting the metal oxides into sulfides. Either the sulfurizing agent or the sulfur containing process gas can be used as the sulfurizing agent. The composition of  LF91 is simple, not containing alkali metals or the substances harmful to equipment and human bodies. When being sulfurized, only a small amount of water is produced and drained off with process gas, with no harmfulness to sulfurizing process or the equipment.
